Dr. Kenneth T. Davis, PhD, is the Founder of the BIED Society, a premier international policy think tank based in Washington, D.C. He established the organization in 2014 following his service at the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan, with a mission to advance policy solutions at the intersection of security, health, and economic resilience.
Dr. Davis brings extensive experience in national security, foreign service, and intelligence, having served as a United States Marine Corps Officer and as an Economic Growth Officer with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). He is also a behavioral economist and intelligence professional, with experience supporting efforts within the FBI and the U.S. Treasury Department’s Terrorism & Financial Intelligence division.
His background includes senior roles in technology, innovation, and systems engineering, including service as Army Deputy Chief of the Senate Liaison Division and Director for Systems Engineering Outreach within the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Through these roles, Dr. Davis helped bridge complex technical systems with policy and legislative oversight.
In addition to his policy and security work, Dr. Davis has contributed to public health and veteran advocacy as a Public Affairs Media Planner for the Department of Defense’s Defense Health Agency (DHA). He has commissioned a documentary on veteran suicide prevention and is currently developing the project into a television streaming series, further reflecting his commitment to translating complex challenges into public awareness and action.
